Seminar Focus

Rapid advancements in all areas of security printing plus the international focus on all aspects of security in today's world have created a rapidly growing demand for physical, document and identification security. From currency and security documents to photo identification to secure access and brand protection: physical and digitally printed security images and data are converging in ways never before imagined. This convergence of once separate technologies is creating both challenges and market opportunities for effective integration of digital and conventional printing with physical security devices in a wide range of market specific applications.

IMI's Security Printing Seminar is designed to provide an understanding of the basic requirements for secure printed documents plus the currently available and developing technological alternatives to achieve secure printed documents. The seminar will also feature in-depth coverage of the application requirements and manufacturing options for the important photo identification and travel document applications including drivers' licenses, government program ID's, employee ID/access control documents, passports, visas and other security critical photo Identification/travel documents. Additionally, the final seminar session will feature demonstration of forensic analysis equipment and systems that are being utilized to validate secure printed documents and to investigate counterfeited documents.

IMI's Security Printing Seminar is relevant to specialists working in all areas dealing with development and implementation of hardware, substrates, inks, etc. as well as those responsible for the implementation of secure printing systems and the resultant documents. Specifically it targets those engaged in R&D, product design, engineering and quality control for suppliers of inks, pigments, polymers, chemical additives, etc. as well representatives digital printing hardware manufacturers and security related agencies. It will appeal to those who are seeking a deeper understanding of the important performance parameters and technological pathways necessary to implement secure document printing systems in today's increasingly complex application environments.
