CONFERENCE FOCUS

Laser printing (Electrophotography or Toner Based Printing Systems) remains the dominant digital printing technology based on the number of pages printed annually. Laser printing continues to make technology advancements in product functionality, cost performance, print quality, connectivity, color printing capabilities, etc. Such improvements are required for to meet the competitive challenges of ink jet and other printing technologies as well as to enable the development of new markets and applications. Applications such as color business printing, internet printing, multifunction printers, digital presses, digital color copier/printers, industrial printing, etc. are providing market opportunities for laser printing technology, but in an ever increasingly competitive environment. This conference program, the only 2003 conference devoted entirely to laser printing, is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive assessment of technology, application and market development trends that will determine laser printing's role in the overall printing marketplace.
